Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 5 July 2026. Many of the people this site serves are older, live with reduced vision or sensation, or use assistive technology. Accessibility is therefore a design requirement here, not an afterthought.

Our standard

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the site. In practice that includes:

  • Text and background colours chosen for strong contrast
  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
  • A “skip to main content” link on every page
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
  • Proper heading structure and landmarks for screen readers
  • Forms with visible labels and clear error messages
  • Respect for your reduced-motion system setting
  • Readable text sizes that scale with your browser settings

Known limitations

  • The embedded Spotify podcast player is third-party software whose accessibility we don't control. Every episode page also links directly to Spotify as an alternative.
  • Some older podcast or video materials may lack transcripts or captions yet; we are working through them.

Tell us if something isn't working
